On 6th April 2008 Thales and Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) a Riyadh based Saudi company signed a partnership agreement to establish a new company, Advanced Arabian Simulation Company (AASC), to manufacture simulators in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AASC will be located at KKIA industrial park, Riyadh .

This partnership agreement include the design, development and manufacture of different types of simulators in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to provide a training and full technical support, manpower and spare parts.

The agreement will create local capability to fulfill the simulation and training needs and requirements of different military branches in Saudi Arabia. It will also enhance the national capability to create job opportunities for Saudi nationals. This Joint Venture
