AEC Signs an Agreement with TVTC

AEC has signed an agreement with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC)AEC has signed an agreement with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) – Industrial Secondary Institute to train and provide special courses to the students of Industrial Institute in order to enable them to work at AEC upon their graduation. This is one of the AEC’s continuous services to the society and the company’s clear objectives to hire very well trained Saudi workforce. The agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulaziz Al Owais, AEC VP-HR and Engineer Mohamad Al Qahtani, Director of Industrial Secondary Institute on Tuesday, 26 May 2015. By this agreement, AEC aims to enhance the skills of these Saudi students especially in the fields related to AEC’s business. The structured and custom designed training program will also help the graduate students to be familiar of AEC’s scope of activities.

AEC announced its annual Best Graduation Project Prize at KSU

For the 17th consecutive year, AEC has announced its Annual Best Graduation Project Prize at a glittering ceremony held at King Saud University yesterday, 26 May 2015. The first prize went to the females students from the College of Computer and Information Science, Deema Al Nohait Ouwood Meldah Bashaer AlSalman Atheer Alkhalifah Sara Aloud for their projects titled “Mr. Saud: NAO Robot for Kindergarten”. The second prize also won by females Students, the team consist of: Nuha AlRajhi Nouf Alanzi Latifah Almazroua Dalal Ben Muriba Ayshah Almahmood from the College of Computer and Information Science for their project “Brain Signals for Smart Offices (BSSO)”. The third prize went to male students from the College of Engineering Zead AlHarbi Marwan Harb for their project “Design and implementation of FPGA-based cryptographic hardware for secure communication systems”. Dr. Ghassan Alshibl, AEC’s President and CEO mentioned “AEC is sponsoring this prize as part of the company’s continuous commitment to encourage innovation among the students and to motivate them to come up with tangible projects that can be implemented in real life”. The Dean of the College of Computer Prof. Hassan Mathkoor stated ‘AEC’s prize reflects the ideal cooperation between the university and the private sector”. He also added” the prize is a strong motivation for the students to design innovative products and systems.

MOU continues strong partnership to explore new opportunities together DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Nov. 9, 2015) – Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) and Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) announced today that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to explore strategic teaming opportunities across a wide range of mission areas. Raytheon and AEC have more than a 20 year history of industrial cooperation, notably on the F-15 program for Saudi Arabia. Under the newly signed MOU, the companies envision expanding their collaboration to new defense and civil markets, and intend to explore opportunities ranging from integrated sensors, weapon systems, civil aviation, and land warfare systems, to cyber. “AEC is a trusted and longstanding partner and we look forward to increasing our cooperative work for Saudi markets as well as possible regional and global expansion,” said John D. BAE Systems and AEC team up to deliver next generation Secure Deployed Networks

BAE Systems has signed a teaming agreement with the Riyadh-based Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) to develop and deliver a Secure Deployed Network (SDN) capability for customers in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf Region.Using technologies developed for the Falcon tactical communication system, which is in service with the British Army and Royal Air Force, the two companies will work together to meet the secure communication needs of military forces and civil agencies. The BAE Systems SDN capability ensures the provision of secure, reliable, flexible, high capacity voice, video and data communications in the most demanding environments. Under the agreement, AEC will customise design, procure, build and test SDN equipment to meet future tactical secure communications requirements in Saudi Arabia and beyond, providing a firm base in the region to support the equipment through-life, whilst BAE Systems will retain the role of overall SDN Technical Authority. The Chairman of Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), AlSharif Nasser Al-Mansour, stated that the President and Chief Executive of the company, Dr. Ghassan Abdulrahman Al Shibl, expressed during a recent board meeting that he did not wish to renew his contract with the company due to personal reasons as his current contract expires at the end of 2015. Dr Al Shibl expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors for their support to the company during his service over the last 25 years, particularly during the last 14 years in his role as President and CEO. He also expressed his full confidence in AEC as a well-structured company and in its strengths, resilience and capacity to operates in an orderly manner in a changing environment and its ability to continue to achieve its ambitions plan whilst actively serving the national economy. In turn, the Chairman and the board extended their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr Al Shibl for his outstanding achievement. As a result of Dr Al Shibl’s leadership, AEC has successfully managed to build distinct and internationally-recognized technical and professional capabilities that positioned AEC as one of the most advanced regional companies in its market sectors.
